A proud daughter of two Navy veterans, Emily is an associate at the firm’s Emeryville, California office, where she exclusively represents people diagnosed with mesothelioma and their families. Prior to joining MRHFM, Emily was an associate at a civil rights employment firm where she represented workers whose employers violated their civil rights based on gender, race, and other protected characteristics.

Emily is a graduate of Berkeley Law, where she received pro bono honors with highest distinction for her work representing a young person in the foster system, assisting minimum wage workers whose employers committed wage theft, and providing record cleaning services to people with criminal records, among other pro bono projects.

In addition to zealously advocating for her clients at MRHFM, Emily is passionate about animal welfare and criminal justice reform. Emily has fostered and rescued cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, and hamsters, and credits her animals with inspiring her to give up meat and explore delicious plant-based recipes. She also volunteers at San Quentin State Prison, where she assists people serving indeterminate life sentences in preparing for their parole hearings.

Outside of the office, you can find Emily spending time with her animals, traveling, visiting her parents, and cooking.
