Emily is dedicated to helping mesothelioma victims and their families.

Experience

Emily began her legal career as a civil rights attorney at Disability Rights Texas, where she handled a variety of complex civil rights claims from individuals with mental health disability who were either incarcerated in Texas state prisons, local jails, state hospitals, or private psychiatric facilities.

Emily received her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she served on the National Lawyers Guild board, was a teaching assistant for multiple professors and contributed to their academic publications, and created an emergency response law clinic to help Native American communities in south Louisiana obtain FEMA aid in the wake of Hurricane Ida.

Ms. Torrey received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College where she majored in Studio Art with a focus in Sculpture and Installation and minored in Art History. Emily began her career in New York City where she was a Publications Manager at an Art Gallery in Chelsea and then worked on Rikers Island as a Discharge Planner and Case Manager which eventually led to her decision to pursue law school.

Outside of the office, Emily can be found somewhere along the Columbia River Gorge hiking with her dog Fred or purchasing an expensive iced coffee.

Emily is a member of the Oregon Bar and Texas Bar and has pending admission to the Washington Bar.
