Community Support
MRHFM is dedicated to supporting and serving our clients, employees, and our local and national communities. We find it very important to give back to the people that we represent day in and day out, and we are proud to support a wide variety of organizations throughout the St. Louis, MO area and the nation including Pedal the Cause, Wounded Warrior Project, The University of Chicago Medical Center Mesothelioma Program, Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation and more.
Wounded Warrior Project
Founded in 2003, Wounded Warrior Project is a veterans service organization that offers a variety of free programs, service, and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of 9/11/2001. It operates as a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization with a mission to "honor and empower Wounded Warriors" of the United States Armed Forces, as well as provide services and programs for the family members of its registered "alumni," as its registered veterans are called.
WWP's vision is to "foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history," as it works to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
MRHFM donates to events that benefit Wounded Warrior Project, like Tough Mudder. Our firm supported one of the investigators at the firm recently created a team to enter the Tough Mudder Obstacle course. All of the proceeds went to the Wounded Warrior Project. MRHFM’s dedication to helping others doesn’t stop with mesothelioma victims. The mesothelioma law firm is also dedicated to helping our nation’s veterans overcome the challenges of civilian life after deployment.

Pedal the Cause
Founded in 2010, Pedal the Cause is an annual, nonprofit cycling event in St. Louis that raises money for cancer research. 100% of the participant proceeds directly supports Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital. These funds are used for adult and pediatric research projects.
For 2026, folks from all offices walked, rode, and volunteered with our team, MRHFM Meso Warriors, to seek cures for cancer and fund research. We had 3 great accomplishments for Pedal the Cause this year:
- We were the #2 corporate team in raising funds for cancer research (out of literally dozens of teams).
- Our team raised $147,000+ this year.
- Since 2010, we have raised over $1M lifetime raised for cancer research!
Over the years, we had multiple Ride for a Child Partners (both in memory of and in honor of). They are children being treated for cancer at Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Our team has been riding for Sam Biggs, who lost his life much too early to cancer. Also, we partnered Rylie Foust in 2016 after she was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 6 months. Rylie is now 10 years old and continues to ride Pedal the Cause with our team each year. Thus far, Rylie has raised $13,240 over her lifetime.
MRHFM Pedal the Cause Support Over the Years

American Lung Association – Fight For Air Climb

Beginning as a localized event in 1989 in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, the Fight For Air Climb expanded nationwide rapidly and hosts more than 30 premier climbs in iconic towers and stadiums through the country. Hosted by the American Lung Association, money is raised in support of participants who race or walk up the stairs of these buildings. - Create a Tobacco-Free Future
MRHFM recently became involved with this event in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, where their team joined many in the area that climbed approximately 900 steps in the Metropolitan Square building.
The University of Chicago Medical Center Mesothelioma Program
In honor of National Mesothelioma Awareness Day, donations made by MRHFM employees are 100% matched by the firm. These donations are contributed to The Mesothelioma Program at The University of Chicago Medical Center, headed by Dr. Hedy Lee Kindler. Dr. Kindler is a top cancer researcher and leading investigator for malignant mesothelioma treatments. Her personal connection with mesothelioma and deep understanding of the patients that the cancer affects, many being exposed on the job including veterans, gives Dr. Kindler the drive to find a cure and providing patients the best care and treatment options available.
MRHFM Client Appreciation Days
MRHFM supports and honors our clients. Through organized events, we recognize individuals and their family that suffered from the challenges of a mesothelioma diagnosis. The stories, videos, presentations, photos, and testimonials shared continues to bring inspiration and encouragement to all. At MRHFM, we continue to appreciate and learn how our efforts impact their daily lives.
