About Amy

An associate based in Maune Raichle Hartley French & Mudd's South Carolina office, Amy Heins represents individuals and families affected by mesothelioma. She fights zealously for the rights of individuals who have been affected by this deadly disease, ranging from high school shop teachers, to pipefitters, to sheet metal workers. She was also recently appointed to the South Carolina Bar Ethics Advisory Committee for the 2014-2015 term.

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Amy returned to the Low country in 2009, where she enjoys performing with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus.

Amy earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from Agnes Scott College in Georgia. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at MercerUniversity, where she completed a three-year Advanced Legal Writing program. While there, Amy served as the Treasurer for the Association of Women Law Students and was a fundraiser for Project Equality, a student-run organization focused on civil and human rights.
